Youth Group is back in session! We will be meeting the second and fourth Sunday of each month from 5:30 p.m.– 7:00 p.m. in the Youth Room of First United Methodist Church in Bellevue. Additional special events will be scheduled throughout the year! All youth in grades 6-12 are welcome to attend!
Each meeting is opened with prayer followed by a fun game, activity or craft. Next comes a great dinner and a video that relates our Biblical studies to teen life. We follow the video up with a youth led discussion and another activity. We close in prayer, and dismiss. The time just flies!
This year, we are focusing on FRIENDSHIP! Not just our own friendships, but God’s plan for friendship. Today it is so easy for us to communicate through a text message, Tweet or Snapchat, but are we actually forming deep meaningful friendships?
The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. “
What kinds of friends does God want us to have? What kind of friends should we be? What lies do we tell ourselves to keep us from letting others get close to us? How is God a part of our friendships?
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
